A leading emergency vehicle dealership is looking for a strong Assistant Service Manager for its Manassas Virginia. The selected Assistant Service Manager would be responsible for the following:
Assistant Service Manager: Singer Associates, Manassas, VA Service Center
General Responsibilities: Assist in the overall operation of the Service Center in terms of customer satisfaction and financial goals. Working under the general supervision of the Service Manager will perform the following:
Performance Measurements, Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the overall operation, production and staff of the service center including, employee, vehicle and customer safety, vehicle scheduling, warranty administration and customer satisfaction needs. The Assistant Service Manager is a vital link between the service manager, technician, and the customer, the invoicing of customer services, the performance of part ordering and receiving, and endeavors to find practical solutions to customer issues.
Cooperates with the Sales Department in evaluating customer requirements and ensures that service and sales are exceeding customer expectation while maintaining expected profitability.
Maintains a working relationship with other Company Service Managers, and the department of Human Resources and Finance.
Demonstrates ability to respond quickly and effectively as a customer “problem solver” on a daily basis.
Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated success over a five to seven year period in a comparable position in the same or a related industry
EVT/ASE/Industry Certifications: Desirable but not required.
Personal Skills:
Must have a professional attitude and be a team player.
Good communication, organization, interpersonal and time management skills.
Proven job diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
Commitment to work overtime on an as needed basis.
Proficient computer skills – MS Word, MS Outlook, and the Singer Associates Service System
Effective interaction with various levels of staff & management
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, management and vendors.
Must obtain a CDL, and demonstrate a good past driving record.
Salary based on candidates’ experience.
